This is an original artist hand painted burlap and leather tote bag with a zippered opening, two large side pockets with magnetic snap closure. The roomy interior has a zippered pocket for added security.

The handles are leather and are hand sewn in.

Size: 15″ long x 13″ wide x 4″

This is a one only item. You can order one similar but there will be different designs as no two are ever alike.

Often when I'm out in the garden something would catch my eye - a leaf, a new shoot, a flower or the sky, a bird chirping, or a lovely dried leaf. I'm intrigued by the shapes of leaves particularly sculptural ones.

This piece was done using a new leaf from this palm tree that I’ve played around as a child. New trees have been springing up and give me great joy - reminding me of the continuity of nature and of life.

This is one of a few pieces I did where I attempt to raise awareness of the dangers we face as the earth’s climate changes. The welcome, surprising and beautiful images we’re seeing as the world has gotten quiet due to covid - such as the clear skies in the Himalayas or kangaroos on the streets in Australia are great but carbon emissions must be cut drastically over the long-term for us to avert really messed-up climactic events like desert and snow in Trinidad with a tsunami - all at the same time!

Scientists set 2030 as the year by which we must reduce our carbon emissions. In this piece, it's 2031 - we haven't met the deadlines and this is what could happen.

This piece of wearable art can be a great conversation starter for everyone wanting a safer, more secure, habitable future!
