Working on a square canvas is interesting – which way is ‘up’ is up to you/me. When painting this, I played with it as if it were a rotating serving tray or lazy Susan.

I like movement when painting – it is as if it is the way I can best express myself – it is usually dynamic, charged, explosive, quick, seldom slow – always meaningful. In this, there was pouring of paint, scraping, moulding and moving the paint gently, use of my fingers and work with brushes.
