This is one of a set of pieces where I attempt to raise awareness of the dangers we face as the planet warms up and the ice caps melt.
Library Corner is at the top of a hill in San Fernando, Trinidad – not far from the sea (see photos below). It’s 2025 and the sea level has risen drastically all over the world and we’ve lost many coastal areas in Trinidad. Library Corner stands quite high above the sea and we thought we were safe. An earthquake just off the coast set off a tsunami – water now almost covers the clock tower at Library Corner.
This piece of wearable art can be a great conversation starter for everyone wanting a safer, more secure, habitable future!
Offered as part of the #artistsupportpledge on Instagram which is a dynamic, accessible and democratic market for artists and makers around the world. (please see photos for details)
