US$200.00
As an artist I would like Art to be accessible to everyone, not just people with a lot of money. As such, if you, as an aficionado, see a piece you love but may not be able to afford the listed price please make me an offer.
I would be very happy to entertain reasonable offers and elated to have you own a piece of my work.
ABOUT THIS PIECE –
I had been painting on linen that was loose (no backing or within a frame which would hold it) – so it was like painting on a loose piece of cloth (which it is of course ).
However, I wanted to paint on a firm surface which could take a fair amount of pressure and not move. I sold some work recently so bought a canvas board which is my preferred surface to work on. A stretched canvas doesn’t give me the firmness I like.
I enjoyed this. Was able to experiment, scraping paint off, dragging my tools while interjecting by deliciously applying paint with a lot of water and using my fingers to create a smooth surface.
I also challenged myself to use the court yellow and a different palette of colours from my usual – a new bronze colour I was happy to get. The resulting colours please me.
I hope you enjoy.
