My eldest sister, who is also an artist, gave me the ‘ends’ of canvas that were left over from work she’d done. She knows how much I believe that we through away too much ‘stuff’ which could be re-used and which is filling up the world’s landfills so she passed on several pieces of her linen to me.

I painted one length of linen over the course of a few days and cut it into 4 pieces as it seemed to lend itself to this. This is one of those pieces. The other 3 pieces are no longer available.
