This piece was done around the time of Carnival in 2020. The composition came to me after looking through and finding a picture of Kes, from kes the band, doing the pose seen in the piece. I chose to use him as my muse for the composition that developed in my mind after being woken up by music trucks 4 am Carnival Monday, during J’ouvert as it passed close to where I live. This scene is my ideal Jouvert morning, paint being poured on you from all directions while the sun rises.
